The Casonato family winery, since 1976.

It all began with "sciampagna".

It was 1976 when Valentino Casonato started producing and selling bulk wine in Ormelle. The main product was the so-called "sciampagna", the traditional Treviso white wine made from white Marzemina grapes, still produced today. Alongside it were Pinot Grigio and Raboso, historic grape varieties of the Piave plain.

During the 1980s, his son Guido planted Cabernet and Merlot, expanding the vineyards and increasing production. At the end of the 1990s Fabio, the third generation, joined the company full-time and began planning a new phase of growth.

Vigna Angri was born from Angelica and Ingrid.

With the turn of the millennium came bottling and the first collection of "Guido Casonato" labels, bearing the historic votive shrine on the main road in front of the winery as their symbol. Soon after, rows of Glera were planted and the production of semi-sparkling Prosecco began.

It was in these years that the name Vigna Angri was born, from the fusion of Angelica and Ingrid, the young granddaughters of the Casonato family. A name that links the winery to its family roots and to the future.

Artisan tradition and sustainable viticulture.

Today Vigna Angri produces its labels every year in the historic winery in Ormelle, between Oderzo, Ponte di Piave and the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. Whites, reds, sparkling wines and dessert wines: classic Piave wines that express their bond with the territory and the traditional way of making wine in this region.

Technology serves quality: in the vineyard as in the cellar, modern equipment improves yields and reduces processing times, while the method remains strictly artisan. For years the winery has practiced integrated pest management, monitored vineyard environmental conditions and progressively reduced treatments, using recovery equipment.
